On Monday, news was dropped that Apple plans to spend $1 Billon per year on AI in order to catch up to their competition. In the meantime, OpenAI launched a new Preparedness team, China launched a Global AI Governance Initiative and your Spam box is about to get even worse (well, your inbox if using Outlook).

The top ten submissions stand a chance to win $25,000 and potentially join the Preparedness team.

Previously, Karpathy was a research scientist and founding member at OpenAI. He also studied for his PhD, where he looked into convolutional/recurrent neural networks and their applications in computer vision, natural language processing and their intersection.
