We mentioned a couple weeks ago we would stay out of the political arena as much as possible, but a couple stories made us laugh a bit this week and think, “wtf, really? No way.” So, we had to share. Apparently AI “candidates” are running for a spot in Parliament across the bond and another for Mayor in Wyoming. What a wild time to be alive. Details below in the “Rapid Fire News” section.

In other news, the US is apparently blowing its lead on China in the AI game (if there ever was one), Amazon could have paved the way in AI with Alexa but missed the boat, allegedly, and a photographer won an AI photo contest but was disqualified because his image was real (feels like an Uno “reverse” card move). We aren’t making up the news here, people. Just reporting it.

In a not so surprising turn of events, Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, has openly challenged Apple over its recent partnership with OpenAI. Musk's concerns about data security and privacy have led him to threaten a ban on Apple devices within his companies.
